Linda DeBrita, of Scotia, NY, was a classically trained pianist whose interest in folk and Celtic music led
her to the harp and the hammered dulcimer. An active church musician, having performed in many
worship settings on piano, organ, hammered dulcimer, harp and handbells, she also performed regularly on both the harp and hammered dulcimer with several acoustic music ensembles including with harpist Darhon Rees-Rohrbacher in the duo, “Harpfaire”, and was harpist with The Music Company Orchestra. A Family Nurse Practitioner and Hospice R.N. by profession, she combined her interest in music and medicine as a Certified Music Practitioner and graduate of the Music for Healing and Transition Program. Ms. DeBrita passed away peacefully at home in March, 2008. She
