Alaine Simpson is a native of Minnesota, and has lived in England for 25 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music and a master’s degree in library science. She and her husband now live in a small English village in Hampshire. Alaine works part-time in a public library, and is active in the village drama group. She spends her time working in her garden, reading, frequenting a couple of local folk clubs, collecting material on her family history, and, of course, playing the folk harp.
Alaine has created a beautiful and unusual collection of early music for folk harp and voice. Time’s Mirror: Songs of Love from the Past
