Steve Hill has been a life-long musician, having played and studied guitar since age 12. His formal musical training consists of classical guitar study at Santa Monica College, followed by independent studies with guitar master Ted Greene.
In 2001, Mr. Hill was appointed Musician in Residence at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, California. He was exposed to the harp at the hospital and immediately began studying. Subsequently, he began performing on lever harp as well as assisting in teaching harp through the hospital’s Healing Harps program. He currently serves on the Board of Advisers of the World Education University; in charge of creating and developing the music curriculum.
Writing harp arrangements was a natural outgrowth of his new-found interest in harp. He excels at arranging music in an easy-to-play format for beginning to intermediate students. These selections reflect Mr. Hill’s love of folk music from many lands, especially
beautiful when played on the harp.
