Moon Over the Mountain
I started backpacking with my parents when I was a teenager and now it is a favorite activity that my husband, Dave, and I love to do in the summertime. Being in the solitude of the mountains surrounded by the beauty of the flowers, trees, rivers, creeks, and the snowcapped peaks and canyons is an astoundingly spiritual experience. The tunes in this book are a reflection of the many places we have been over the years. They are: Alpenglow, Lilacs & Lavendar, Moon Over the Mountain, Misty Meadow, Redwood Waltz, The Bride’s Bouquet, Out of the Clouds, Van Gogh Canyon, Sweeten Creek and The Night Sky. No lever changes. The book is set up in the order of keys from 1 flat (F) to 2 sharps (D). There is also a bonus duet of Alpenglow at the end of the book for flute and harp although the flute part can certainly be played on a harp or other melody instrument.

Below is the A part of the tune Sweeten Creek which was written for the many unnamed creeks that we come across in the mountains. We decided to name one of them Sweeten Creek after a place in North Carolina that we dearly love for its beauty, friendship and fabulous BBQ! You’ll have to buy the book to get the B part!
