Early Music for Wire Harp: John Hines

Hines, John
Price: $15.00
SKU: 9030B

In the fixed hand position;  small staff at the beginning of each piece tells what strings to play. Numbers above the staff represent the fingers of the right hand, numbers below represent fingers of the left hand. Using this method, one can easily pay attention to fingerings, notes and rhythms without constantly looking at the strings. A number of scholarly wire harpers have told us this book is excellent and quite historically accurate. It is available from Simon Chadwick in the UK, as well as US stores.

Table of Contents:
Bergamesca, Cantiga in 3, Cantiga in 4, Cantiga in 6, Conductus, Drive the Cold Winter Away, Edi Beo, Green Groweth the Holly, Kalevala, O Admirabile Veneris Ydolum, Sumer Is Icumen In, Saltarello, Variation on Bergamesca and dance music primarily from the Playford collections. Also contains ancient Irish airs and tunes from Scotland during the reign of King James. Please enjoy the samples and see the Table of Contents page.
